The CEO of groundbreaking artificial intelligence legal tool Robot Lawyer LISA has been shortlisted in two categories at this summer’s Enterprise Awards.
Chrissie Lightfoot, renowned legal futurist, trail-blazer and pioneer in the legal field has been nominated in the categories of Female Entrepreneur and Social Enterprise Entrepreneur, which recognises outstanding women entrepreneurs and individuals with business models that give something back.
The Enterprise Awards, which are now in their 7th year, celebrate the most successful technology entrepreneurs in the UK and Ireland. The awards focus on the achievements of founders, and has recognised some of Britain’s most inspirational individuals.
Chrissie Lightfoot said: “It’s an absolute honour to make the final and to have been nominated in not just one, but two of the nine categories at the Enterprise Awards.
“Robot Lawyer LISA is a great leveller. It gives everyone the ability to access a basic legal service regardless of their means and without any specialist training. We have people from all over the globe, including from third world nations, using LISA to help protect their business and personal interests.”
LISA, the world’s first impartial robot lawyer, allows users to create legally binding Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) – also known as confidentiality agreements - in less than 7 minutes at absolutely no cost. By asking questions about the users’ needs, LISA intelligently drafts the document while helping them understand the legal and commercial principles on which it is based.
This means that individuals and businesses are able to use LISA to protect themselves without any prior legal knowledge. LISA is also the first law robot to provide unbiased and objective assistance to both parties, allowing users to avoid having to engage traditional human lawyers on either side.
Previous Enterprise Award winners include the founders of British unicorns FanDuel and Transferwise, as well as Vin Murria whose Advanced Computer Software Products was sold to Vista Partners for £725 million.
The final of the Enterprise Awards will be held on 14th June at the Dorchester Hotel, London.
